64-year-old Sukhwinder Singh has been ID’d in the fatal pedestrian accident that occurred in Fresno Monday night.

64-year-old Sukhwinder Singh has been ID’d in the fatal pedestrian accident that occurred in Fresno Monday night.

Two vehicles reportedly struck the victim at Marks and Clinton Avenues

It was around 8 p.m. when the accident occurred on January 16th.

The first vehicle was in a Ford sedan and pulled over after hitting Singh and fled the scene on foot.

Singh was left lying in the roadway and another vehicle had ran him over. That driver was fully cooperative with authorities and told them he hadn’t seen Singh in the roadway.

Police are still in search of the suspect that fled the scene.

An active investigation remains underway.

California has the highest pedestrian fatality rate which is 25% higher than the national average.
