A serious head-on collision between a van and a semi-truck left one driver with life-threatening injuries in Winchester, Riverside County, on Monday morning, October 20, 2025. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 10:50 a.m. at the intersection of Winchester Road and Olive Avenue.
Riverside County Fire Department personnel arrived within minutes and located the van driver trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters conducted a cut-and-rescue operation and successfully extricated the victim shortly after 11 a.m. The van driver was transported to a regional trauma center.
