Pedestrian Crash Kills Linden Burke

81-Year-Old Man ID’d in Fatal Joshua Tree Crash

Linden Burke, of Joshua Tree, fell victim to a pedestrian accident on Saturday morning.The 81-year-old man was struck on Highway 62 in the eastbound lanes.It is unclear at this time what caused the accident.It was around 5 a.m. when the incident took place in Joshua Tree on March 4^th.Unfortunately, Burke was pronounced dead at the scene.An active investigation remains underway.California has the highest pedestrian fatality rate which is 25% higher than the national average.Due to the vulnerability that pedestrians face on the road, it is important that they take the proper precaution.
