Eloise Perez Killed in Valley Village Collision

1 Month Old Dies in Highway 101 Accident

An infant ID’d as Eloise Perez unfortunately died in a car accident on Monday afternoon in Valley Village.

The 1-month-old was as passenger in a Land Rover that was struck by a semi-truck on Highway 101.

The accident occurred on January 16th around 1:30 p.m.

Upon impact, the driver of the Land Rover lost control, rolled over and crashed into a concrete wall.

Paramedics rushed the baby to a hospital where she sadly died.

Bobby Perez and Cynthia Olvera were other occupants of the Land Rover who were hospitalized for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.

Occupants of passenger vehicles are more likely to be seriously injured after colliding with trucks due to the difference in weight between the vehicles.

These types of accidents are often caused by the braking capability of trucks.
