Motorcyclist Killed in Los Angeles Traffic Collision
The Los Angeles Police Department reported a deadly motorcycle accident in Hyde Park on Saturday, January 21st.
Antoine Young, 52, was riding his bike around 8:22 p.m. at a high rate of speed.
Young was unable to avoid a vehicle at the intersection that was making a left-hand turn, causing a collision.
Sadly, the rider suffered major blunt force trauma and was declared dead at the scene.
The other driver was fully cooperative with authorities at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
Statistics have shown that 80% of motorcycle accidents result in serious injury or death.
Majority of accidents involving motorcycles are due to the other driver’s lack of visibility of the rider.
