58-Year-Old Man Killed in Modesto Accident

The man who was killed in a Modesto pedestrian accident has been identified as Tony Franco, 58.

Franco reportedly ran out of gas on Tully Road and walked to a gas station about a mile out. As he was crossing the street back to his vehicle, another vehicle struck him.

It was just before 10 p.m. when the incident occurred on December 22nd.

Sadly, the man was declared dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.

California has the highest pedestrian fatality rate which is 25% higher than the national average.
