DUI Arrest Follows West Third Street Crash That Seriously Injured Father and Three Young Sons in Santa Rosa
Overview of the Santa Rosa Crash
On Monday, June 2, 2025, at approximately 2:37 p.m., a serious collision on West Third Street in Santa Rosa left a father and his three sons with major injuries. According to police reports, 45-year-old Timothy Norman was driving a red Honda Odyssey minivan with his sons, ages 5, 11, and 12, when the vehicle allegedly attempted to pass a City of Santa Rosa Ford Ranger driven by a city employee. The minivan struck the truck’s rear left side and then continued into the center median, where it collided with two trees.
Norman and his three children were transported to a trauma center with major injuries. The city employee driving the Ford Ranger was reportedly uninjured. The scene resulted in significant damage and a prolonged emergency response as crews treated the injured and investigated the circumstances of the crash.
Arrest Following Investigation and Toxicology Findings
Following a months-long investigation, law enforcement obtained toxicology results indicating the presence of drugs in Norman’s system at the time of the crash. On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, officers arrested Norman on suspicion of felony driving under the influence of drugs causing injury, as well as three counts of felony child endangerment with injury. He was booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
