Major injuries were sustained in a Thousand Oaks traffic accident on Monday evening.
Three teenage boys were involved in a traffic collision involving an SUV and motorcycle.
The accident took place around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Via Las Brisas and Via Grande.
Per reports, the boys sustained blunt-force trauma as well as broken bones. They were ages 14, 15, and 16.
It was also reported that the boys were on an electric motorcycle when they collided with the front of the SUV. They were ejected as a result.
No injuries were reported from the female driver of the SUV.
Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.
Statistics have shown that 80% of motorcycle accidents result in serious injury or death.
Majority of accidents involving motorcycles are due to the other driver’s lack of visibility of the rider.
