28-year-old Amber Reaves fell victim to a pedestrian accident on Monday morning in Castro Valley.
Just minutes after 5 a.m., a Honda CRV struck the woman on the 580 Freeway.
It was reported that she was traveling in a Chevrolet Malibu before exiting her vehicle for unknown reasons.
Sadly, Reaves died at the scene.
An active investigation remains underway.
