Woman Killed on Highway 4 in Martinez
The California Highly Patrol reported a fatal car accident in Martinez on February 1st.
At around 4:30 in the morning, Kellye Van Patten, 44, crashed into a center divider on Highway 4.
It is unclear at this time what caused the crash.
After the initial collision, two other vehicles collided with Patten’s vehicle.
Upon impact, the woman was ejected from her vehicle and sadly died at the scene.
A SigAlert was issued for a period of time due to the closure of the on ramp to Westbound Highway 4.
The accident remains under investigation.
