67-Year-Old Man ID’d in Jackson Traffic Accident
A head-on collision claimed the life of Mark Markham in Jackson on January 30th.
It was just before 2 p.m. when the wreck occurred on Highway 88.
Markham was driving a Subaru Outback eastbound when a westbound Jeep crossed over into the same lane.
As a result, the two collided head-on, causing the Subaru to catch fire.
It was discovered that the driver of the Jeep was impaired at the time of the crash. She suffered only moderate injuries and has been ID’d as Kimberly Snyder, 30.
Markham was airlifted to Sutter Roseville Hospital where he unfortunately died.
Additionally, a 10-year-old boy in the Jeep was airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
Authorities arrested Snyder soon after the collision.
