Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash in Pomona

Serious Injuries Sustained in Pomona Pedestrian Accident 

A hit-and-run driver left a female pedestrian with serious injuries in Pomona Monday night. 

The woman was struck at 11:22 p.m. on January 16th at the intersection of Hill Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue. 

It was reported that the driver fled the scene.

Anybody who has information on the driver is urged to contact Pomona’s Police Department at 909-802-7741 or 909-620-2048. 

California has the highest pedestrian fatality rate which is 25% higher than the national average. 

Due to the vulnerability that pedestrians face on the road, it is important that they take the proper precaution. Below are some tips:

  • Be aware of your surroundings 
  • Adhere to all traffic laws & signals 
  • Always use the crosswalk
