44-Year-Old Woman ID’d in Ontario Deadly Accident
A woman from Fontana, ID’d as Desiree Torres, 44, died in a traffic collision last Wednesday in Ontario.
The wreck took place at 3:49 p.m. on January 4th within the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway.
Per CHP. Torres was driving a Chevrolet Impala when she crashed with a semi-truck.
It is unclear at this time what caused the accident.
Sadly, the woman was declared dead at 4:20 p.m. at the scene of the crash.
An active investigation remains underway.
Occupants of passenger vehicles are more likely to be seriously injured after colliding with trucks due to the difference in weight between the vehicles.
These types of accidents are often caused by the braking capability of trucks.
