Originally from Chicago, he later moved with his family to Southern California, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from San Diego State University. Following his passion for the law, he pursued his Juris Doctor at Washburn University School of Law before returning to Las Vegas to practice.

During law school, John gained valuable experience working with a well-respected personal injury firm in Southern Nevada, where he assisted in representing clients facing serious injuries and financial hardships. In the aftermath of the Great Recession, he stepped up to help local residents in need, particularly in the area of bankruptcy law. When a respected bankruptcy attorney in the community became ill, John took on the responsibility of managing numerous Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, ensuring that clients received the legal guidance they desperately needed. Recognizing the widespread threat of foreclosure impacting Southern Nevada homeowners, he also actively participated in a mortgage modification mediation program in partnership with Chapter 13 Trustees, helping families fight to keep their homes.
