Robert George Dies 1 Week after Crash

95-Year-Old Man Killed in San Diego Accident

A head-on collision resulted in the death of 95-year-old Robert Sherman George.

George died more than a week after the accident that occurred on March 2nd.

It was reported that George was driving a pickup truck when he collided with a Honda in a turn lane.

First responders transported the man to Sharp Memorial Hospital where he died on March 13th.

The female driver of the Honda complained of chest pain but it is unclear if she was hospitalized.

An active investigation remains underway.

While head-on collisions account for just 2% of all motor-vehicle accidents, they make up 10% of all fatal accidents.

These types of crashes are most common on two-lane highways and more than half result in a fatality.
