Lisa Booth Dies 3 Days After Pedestrian Accident

56-Year-Old Clovis Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash 

A woman from Clovis, Lisa Booth, sadly died three days after being stuck by a van on January 6th.

The incident occurred on Friday morning around 6:30 at the intersection of Peach and Nees Avenues. 

It was reported that a utility van struck Booth as she was walking within a marked crosswalk. 

Paramedics rushed the woman to Community Regional Medical Center where she sadly died three days later. 

Investigators are actively working to determine fault. 

California has the highest pedestrian fatality rate which is 25% higher than the national average. 

Due to the vulnerability that pedestrians face on the road, it is important that they take the proper precaution. Below are some tips: 

  • Avoid distractions (headphones, use of cell phone)
  • Be aware of your surroundings 
  • Adhere to all traffic laws & signals 
  • Always use the crosswalk
