Melina Shahbazian is a dedicated and accomplished Litigation Attorney, serving as Of Counsel at Avian Law Group. With a passion for justice, Melina handles a wide range of personal injury cases from inception to resolution, focusing on catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and elder/dependent adult abuse and neglect.
Melina completed her undergraduate degree at California State University, Northridge, majoring in English and minoring in Political Science. She then attended the University of La Verne, College of Law, where she was a scholarship recipient. Throughout her law school journey, Melina gained invaluable experience by serving as a Clerk to Judge Gregory Keosian at the Appellate Division of the Los Angeles Superior Court, an Intern at the Riverside City Attorney’s Office and Van Nuys Superior Court, and volunteering over 500 hours with the Neighborhood Legal Services and Homeless Court in Los Angeles.
Licensed to practice law before all state and federal courts in California, Melina has a diverse skill set, encompassing personal injury law, civil litigation, contract disputes, construction disputes, and elder law. With nearly a decade of proven track record in all phases of civil litigation, with several of those years being spent defending insurance companies, businesses and individuals, Melina uses her prior experience to advance the interests of the seriously injured in injury-related claims.
Melina has been recognized for her legal excellence, earning her place on the Southern California Rising Stars list (2020-2023) and receiving the Lawyers of Distinction honor.
