Woman and Dog Killed in Fresno Accident

Off-Duty Police Officer Hits & Kills Woman & Dog in Fresno, CA

An unidentified woman and her dog were fatally struck by an off-duty police officer in Fresno on Wednesday morning.

At about 8 in the morning, the truck struck them on Clinton Avenue.

The officer performed CPR on the victim until paramedics arrived and provided aid.

Despite life-saving measures, both the dog and woman died at the scene. An identity is waiting to be released pending notification of kin.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
