93-year-old Elisa Martinez was killed in a two-vehicle crash last week in National City.
Just minutes after 11:30 a.m., the accident occurred between a van and Nissan sedan.
The crash took place at the intersection of National City Boulevard and East 1st Street.
Due to the impact, the van then slammed into a light standard.
Martinez became trapped inside of the van and had to be extricated from paramedics.
Unfortunately, she died despite life-saving measures.
