San Bernardino County Accident Leaves 2 Dead

A head-on collision claimed the life of two people in San Bernardino County on Sunday afternoon.

At about 1:46 p.m., a vehicle driven by Steven Tuttle, 35, collided head-on with another.

The Nissan that Tuttle was in caught fire and trapped both Steven and Keiko Tuttle inside.

Sadly, they died at the scene.

An occupant of the other vehicle was taken to Antelope Valley Medical Center with critical injuries.

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.

While head-on collisions account for just 2% of all motor-vehicle accidents, they make up 10% of all fatal accidents.

These types of crashes are most common on two-lane highways and more than half result in a fatality.
