On March 4th, 64-year-old Nancy Valdes was fatally struck by an impaired driver in Palm Desert.
Just minutes after 6 in the evening, a Nissan Frontier the victim on Calliandra Street.
Sadly, Valdes was pronounced dead at 6:24 p.m. once firefighters responded.
The driver, ID’d as Robert Presley, was a teacher and football coach at Palm Desert High School.
He is currently being held on $1 million bail.
An active investigation remains underway.
