An impaired driver caused a deadly car accident in Oceanside last Tuesday, March 14th.
It was just after 5 p.m. when the driver struck a bicyclist ID’d as Michael Sanchez, 52.
The incident occurred on Douglas Drive and resulted in Sanchez being dragged nearly 50 yards by the vehicle.
It was discovered that the driver was under the influence of heroin at the time and arrested on DUI charges as well as vehicular manslaughter.
Families are entitled to receive wrongful-death benefits if a loved one has passed away due to the negligence of another.
