A pickup truck hit and seriously injured a motorcycle rider in Bakersfield on Saturday, April 1st.
It was just after 9:30 p.m. when the crash occurred at the intersection of Panama Lane and Ashe Road.
The rider, ID’d as Bryan Clark, is a police officer in Arvin and was off duty at the time of the collision.
Clark sadly lost his right leg as well as two fingers.
It was also discovered that the driver of the pickup truck was impaired when he hit the motorcyclist.
He lost control after the accident and crashed into a fire hydrant and Chevron building.
