    Key Information

The Mountain Fire ignited on the morning of November 6, swiftly advancing through the areas of Moorpark and Camarillo, Ventura County. High winds propelled the flames into nearby neighborhoods, leading to the destruction of more than 200 structures and damaging an additional 90 buildings.

As of Tuesday morning, the fire spans 20,630 acres and is 48% contained, according to Cal Fire. Santa Ana winds fueled the fire’s rapid spread, forcing evacuations across multiple communities. However, recent shifts to milder weather conditions have begun to aid firefighters in containment efforts.
