Man Killed in Tractor-Trailer Crash

On Monday morning, tragedy struck Vasco Road, connecting Contra Costa and Alameda counties, when a head-on collision killed an individual.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), it appears that the driver of a Ford Fusion crashed into a tractor-trailer combination while on the road.

Sadly, the Ford driver did not survive the impact, while the driver of the tractor-trailer remained unscathed. The aftermath of the accident resulted in the CHP closing Vasco Road in both directions and a Sig Alert was ordered between Byron and Livermore for several hours.

Anyone who may have any information related to the collision is encouraged to reach out to the CHP in Martinez at 925-646-4980.

This tragic event serves as a reminder to always prioritize safety while on the road. Our thoughts go out to those affected by this devastating accident.
